I just watched this movie, knowing absolutely nothing about it, except for a couple of lines of info on Netflix. What an epic! I worked out who the characters were, despite not being a Christian, and understood what was happening. It was very hard to watch at times, and so incredible at other times. I’m glad I stayed with it. There are multi levels in the storyline, and the whole thing was beautifully written, acted and directed. I loved that Papa was both a black female and a native Indian. The whole thing just flowed and worked beautifully. Forgiveness being the message... Sometimes we need a teacher to help us forgive, so we can move on with our lives. - God know the world needs it.
