In Guilermo del Toro’s Pinocchio film the visual, musical and animation quality was great because they used stop motion technique. Guilermo del Toro added a different style to the original Pinocchio film. He presented a more violent and scary style. The accidents that Pinocchio had like his feet got burned, having car accident, drowning and getting smashed is a couple of examples. Unlike other Pinocchio films in this one he is ugly. The father character is not happy and doesn’t show love to him. The Blue Fairy character is shown as a paganist rather then a loving mother. Film includes the political situations and wars of that time. In film there are shown thing like lying is bad, importance of doing good things. It says that we should love people as they are and that trying to be like someone else to get loved is wrong. Like the director said It is a film for adults rather than children. It is a interesting film and I can say it is a film worth watching.
