Just watched the film today. Heard many reviews downplaying the movie as dismal and out of touch with the original film. However, 20 minutes into the movie and the negative comments seem to disappear from my brain. When Part of Your World came on, that was when the magic started, followed by Under The Sea, which was absolutely and beautifully done. Many of the songs saw new verses added, but they were refreshing and pleasant to listen to. Overall, the film was brilliantly portrayed and it certainly paid homage to the '89 film.
