The music was bad, the animal sidekicks weren’t funny. I didn’t feel an emotional connection to any character in the movie. The movie didn’t make me laugh. It didn’t make me cry. The new Lin-Manuel songs were bad, the score throughout the movie was worse. Halle Bailey’s performance was eh. She has a pretty voice and a prettier smile but her acting was just eh. In fact I can’t say any character in the movie could act their way out of a paper bag. Eric was ok. Likeable guy. Why was his mom black? That was weird. Why was scuttle a girl? And why was she so unfunny? How was it the same exact movie word-for-word as a movie I love yet I disliked it so much? That’s confusing to me, but still I disliked it very much. Your thoughts?
