It's as much about a young woman's struggle to survive a troubled childhood and her difficulties coping with her dysfunctional relationship with her mentally ill mother as it is about her struggle to survive after a plane crash in the wilderness. Brilliant portrayals by all involved, and spectacular cinematography. This limited series might disappoint some who simply want a straightforward survival story, but it's so much more than that.
