Ideology in the movie projected peak insensitivity towards women.
Women working late was projected as a character less act.
There was glorification of women giving up their hobbies and likings for marriage, while vice versa didn't happen (it was OK for elderly to drink in open but women must not wear clothes unapproved by elderly).
The generation gap was highlighted aptly at the beginning of the movie and could have made a beautiful story on how they juggled through it.
But it eventually turned out to be a yet another stereotypical jargon against women and young generation at large (that live in a very different economical and social society compared to 20th century). Minimizing women's role in the society to household chores.
Then an empathy angle was eventually added to justify undignified behavior of elderly.
There were still so many things that were disappointing in the movie, it is high time that movies are made responsibly.
