Overlong and all over the place. The movie is divided into three parts or acts being the bit before the cruise and the bit after the shipwreck.
The first act is entirely unnecessary & utterly irrelevant to the rest of the movie since act 2 on the ship more than adequately portrays the self centred, superficial and soulless nature of the super rich.....and rescues what little can be said for the movie in Woody Harrelson's portrayal of an alcoholic Marxist luxury yacht captain.
Sadly he's only on screen for about 20 of these 140 interminable minutes before the ship wreck puts paid to him and then we have act 3 which is a sort of class war castaway scenario in which the practically skilled underdog cleaning woman gets to lord it over the useless oligarchs, arms traders and fashionistas.
So, Act 1 pointless (and dull)
Act 2 Meh plus (and only because of Harrelson & Buric)
Act 3 Meh minus
