The show is many of the things mentioned here, and I can't deny it makes me smile. That said, I think it could offer a little more diversity. For a show that started seven years ago, it is awfully "white." By season three or four that is improving a little, but it kind of bothers me that it really doesn't look much like what I'd expect in a population that is supposed to be a couple of hours from Chicago. That bugs me a bit too as the setting seems a lot more New England than Midwest. All that said, I can't deny that it leaves me smiling and is a stress reliever. (Oh, I'm white if that matters.)
