As a grandparent if a non-binary child, I appreciate how Sylv Chiang gives equal respect to the children and parents in navigating through pronouns and acceptance. She hits Tessa’s reclusive behaviour on the nail, and their sibling’s yearning to remain close. It takes time to adjust but love and patience really do prevail. This book is an excellent door to open conversation and communication about gender differences.
