Similar set, premise, costumes, characters to We Will Rock You. The story isn’t really told very well and I was confused a lot of the time. Dialogue is poor and the choreography/ movements was/were awkward. Direction was baffling as there were many instances were I was thinking “why is this happening” or “why are they doing that”. The lead character “Strat” seemed ridiculously mentally unstable and in no way the “heartthrob” leading man he should have been. The show itself was saved by the amazing voices of the cast and the already famous songs and great new pieces by Jim Steinman. When the music was playing the place was rocking which I really enjoyed. Under different direction this could be much better, however it still wouldn’t change the story that’s so poorly written. Seen at Swansea Arena December 6th.
