Nearly a Five-Star Movie for the Monsterverse. The storyline focusing around Madison does not make sense; It seems almost irrelevant. Though I do understand it was to portray the heinous acts Apex secretly conducts, it feels as if it could have been portrayed better. I don’t necessarily hate it — It just feels dissatisfying to a degree, anti-climatic. Other than that, the story is easy to follow, feels well paced when focusing around Kong, and treats Godzilla as more of an ominous, looming threat behind every corner in comparison to the almost noble nature of Kong (which is something I admire about the movie, it’s ability to create a distinct parallel between both Titans). Still, definitely recommend.
