While it doesn’t compare to its predecessor, the show is good on its own merit. No arguing about the visuals and soundtracks , but the story feels a bit lacking. For instance , Richter is a good character , but when he mentions that he’s never heard of might creatures , i was confused. Surely , learning Belmont history he would have known? Orlox is a cool character and has potential to be more than just the mysterious vampire with a sad love story. He could be more fleshed out imo. The vampire goddess who had the blood of Sekhmet , the Egyptian goddess , that plot wasnt explained at all. Annette is cool and the slave narrative has been given justice. I like that she shines in this story. Richter altercation with his grandfather seemed almost useless. The story would have proceeded normally without it. Wasted potential there. So yea , it’s a hit and miss but fun nonetheless. But do not expect it to be similar to the original
