I'm not gonna lie, the Foundation was a solid concept and also very clever but was not well executed. Unlike in the first Wrong Turn film where the three antagonists were able to strike fear into the hearts of viewers as "antagonists", the Foundation, mainly Venable, seems to only have served the purpose of putting depth into the plot. In my opinion, the traps from the initial half of the film were more iconic than the foundation themselves and they're not even characters, just plot props.
All in all, this was a decent reimagination of the Wrong Turn film. However, no matter how good it was, I wouldn't really compare it to the first one or any film from the franchise because this Wrong Turn seems to be a different film of its own.
