From the first two episodes I am certainly glad that I ignored all the unnecessary hate from die-hard Tolkien fans prior to the shows release. The stunning visuals in the first two episodes really show the amount of money that has gone into the project, and I love it. I do agree there are certain aspects that don’t match up with Tolkien’s original work however that doesn’t draw from the show itself so far. When it comes to the controversy surrounding a black lady as a dwarf I believe the hate is simply stupid. They captured the dwarves perfectly and I hope to see more of them throughout the show. I found the amount of different things going on at once to be slightly annoying as it made it harder to get to know each of the characters better, I hope different characters are eventually United or at least their actions affect each other. Overall a solid 7.5/10 from me (so far) and I hope to see it improve throughout this first season
