I'm not entirely sure what I'm missing with regards to the hate, but I love this game. Much like its predecessor, TLOU: part II is both a great and flawed game. In terms of gameplay and feel it is leagues better, though it does suffer from some pacing issues (like most Naughty dog projects). As for the story, which seems to be the greatest point of contention, I have few complaints really. It isn't as special as the original, but that doesn't suddenly make it bad (especially considering the original is widely considered a masterpiece on that front). Is it utterly miserable and cold in it's execution ? One hundred percent, but so was the original and many of the choices the writers took make sense given the themes of both games. The last of us: part 2 is not a perfect game but it is still a bloody great one and well worth a playthrough
