I was working for ABC/WABC in 1985 and spent 3 months covering the von Bulow trial. As a cameraman it was part of my job to do “the Claus walk”, backwards, 4 times a day. I was in front of him only a couple of feet away from him. That gave me a “ring side” look for those 3 months. When I saw the film for the first time and every time subsequently…I had chills and white knuckles. Jeremy Irons had become Claus before my eyes!
