Self indulgent and overlong.
A biography by another director would probably work better but I’d rather see a documentary about Spielberg’s life and directorship.
Too many characters are two dimensional and it takes wonderful cameos from Judd Hirsch and David Lynch to lift it.
But it’s Spielberg and it’s an homage to film so I’m sure the critics will love it!
