Although the research effort was there, the documentation is often ignored. Lacking documentation, a high number of his conclusions are actually carefully crafted conjectures, speculations, suppositions, and personal opinions subtly designed to fit his bias and personal agenda against the Prophet Joseph Smith. When it was recommended to me, I eagerly started reading, assuming it was a fair and unbiased presentation of documentation. Sadly, it’s anything but that.
