Cinderella Fiasco 9/12/2021 Out of sick curiosity and possibly because I thought this would be a version of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, I suffered through this piece of auto-tuned hip-hop garbage. Apparently, the producers were too cheap to pay for an original composer, so they went ahead and regurgitated old pop songs in the most egregious arrangements as the cast jumped and dabbed in period gowns and bodices. Outside of the positive (yet somehow patronizing) messages of independence and multiracial casting, Amazon has sunk to new lows trying to suck in the young, urban wannabe market. With so much talent and vision at their fingertips, how could this multibillion dollar company get it so wrong?
