I can honestly state,that the original series was extremely entertaining. I enjoyed the cast development,but was left with a sense of disappointment at the fizzled out last episode of the series. I was hopeful that the resurrection of the series would have rectified the story line. Instead it just let Dexter wallow in guilt and suppresion,and self doubt.He had no problem disregarding his personal code. Let’s not even mention diminishing the role of his sister to his whining companion. The final scene depicting his estranged son,executing him with the rifle Dexter gifted him. Kind of leaves you wondering why it took 10 years to script an ending that leaves you feeling that while you slept through the episode,a cat crawled onto your face and pooped in your open mouth.
