J Farley

The third film from young film maker, Robert Eggers, is likely the most popcorn style movie you are going to get from him. A lot of research was done to make the sets and costumes historically accurate which helped me immerse myself in the setting. It is evident in his performance that this was a labour of love for lead actor Alexander Skarsgård. He is great as is the classic tale that you may recognize from Hamlet and The Lion King. I never knew it was originally a Viking saga. Recommended to be seen on a big screen.
