Overall the show was entertaining mainly because of Mike and how good of a friend he was. Earl was a good character too. The psychological themes explored just didn’t interest me really and in some ways felt over the top. The last 3 episodes really lost me and the ending you see coming a mile away. This show isn’t bad but I just think they over complicated the idea of two consenting adults with issues who had a free weekend together. I prefer the movie with glen close and Michael Douglas. Also the famous line she says “I will not be ignored Dan” was not delivered well enough in the show compared to the movie
