This is one of the few series/movies that we’ve anxiously awaited for and it did not disappoint! The first two episodes are well balanced between being character driven and action building. There are many tie ins to Peter Jackson’s LOTR style that smoothly transitions to be a cohesive piece with PJ’s LOTR, even the known characters share the same micro expressions and vocal inflections as the LOTR cast. The sets/visuals are eye candy, gorgeously filmed and created! The storyline shows how well it is built upon the source material and by those who have studied Tolkien’s work. Amazon Prime’s Ring of Power is much like Peter Jackson’s LOTR translation from book to screen - a labor of love and respect for Tolkien’s work and world.
