I am guessing all the bad reviews didn't grew up watching Halloween, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm street, I know what you did last summer, Scream and Child's Play. This movie had the same vibe as the movies back than and I found it to be an amazing movie from start to finish, a babysitter killer to a babysitter killing a child that he was babysitting, even though it was by accident, that is what Michael Myers saw in Corey. I grew up watching these kind a movies and I saw all the timelines of Halloween, this one was by far the best ending in one of the timelines. If people don't understand these kinds of movies and just hoping for kills, you will never understand Halloween stories!!!
