As a gen z who watched the original descendants movies and allowed it to be a huge part of my childhood.. this was horrible. The plot seemed rushed and half baked.. there was literally no climax. 1 hour in and theres nothing learned by the audience and no problems solved. if this is a flashback and characters hades, maleficent, morgey (who tf is this???), and urslas younger sister (why is she even in the movie) are perma frozen, why do they pop up suddenly in past movies set in the present? and the songs.. my god the songs. NONE of the songs were lyrical. why are they literally just having conversations over a uncatchy beat? THE CLOTHES AND THE CASTING???? was there any effort actually put in.. why am i seeing people with beanies, hoodies, hair highlights, etc in a fantasy movie.. where was the budget for the movie???? not only that but in the original movies they actually casted people around the same age of the characters and the time they were set in.. why am i seeing a mix of 40yr old ppl with ppl who could be as young as 18??? it just didnt make sense that the main characters were dressed so extravagantly while everyone else around them were in such modern clothes that you would see today on the street. they put so much effort in the look of the characters and not the plot which is why the movie is a FLOP. their outfits are so awfully put together and theirs too much of the same color based on who their mother is. truly a 0/10. huge disappointment.
