This isn't a very interesting book. The only thing I felt was boredom and when Octavian came along and is supposedly evil, I was angry. I know for a fact that he is just there to make the protagonists look better. Percy is now a major JERK. I want the Percy from Percy Jackson's Greek gods back. For all of you people that accuse Octivian for killing the pillow pet, SHUT UP. It's his JOB to do that! What, do you want him to kill a live bunny? Or a cute puppy?! THE PILLOW PET HAS NO LIFE, FEELINGS OR ANY OF THAT SH** Ease excuse my language. As I was saying, the characters are really terrible. The love story between Hazel and Frank was disgusting. Hazel is 13 while Frank is 15. That's enforcing the stereotype of African American women are paired up with older men. Hazel's mother literally practiced VOODOO at the times where African American women were accused of practicing witchcraft!

'Percy is offered immortality but turns it down because he loves Annabeth way too much!' Hahhahahahahha. Great joke. Uh, can you not? Like seriously. I honestly don't understand what's so good about Percabeth. Annabeth treats Percy like trash for the entire series yet he loved her to death. Annabeth treats Rachel and Tyson terribly and they're okay with it. Annabeth and Rachel are suddenly friends because Rachel can't date anymore. Wow. Great writing, Rick. As the series moves along, it's more clear to me that Percy is really attractive. He's the 'hot guy but doesn't know it' trope. This book is really stupid honestly. 🙄

I hate how the ending romanticized suicide. I feel terrible for all those suicidal readers reading the ending only to find out that their favorite author makes their condition look like a romantic gesture. It's not. Leo only revolves around Calypso, even though she hates him. In the end he DIES for her, without telling his friends. Is this what you want your kids to be learning? That once you get a partner nothing else matters?!

This is one of the worst in the series. Reading Nico's outing was really upsetting. It says in the book that Nico was brave and all, but it was a FORCED outing! That is not okay Rick. Nico should of come out when he felt like it, but the whole 'I have a crush on Percy ' thing really ruined Nico's character, to be honest. The Tartarus scene was really long and unamusing. I actually hoped Annabeth would die to make things more interesting. Id really like to know how Percy or Annabeth didn't lose an arm, leg, or thier eyesight in Tartarus. Caleo really ruined Leo, and Calypso is a rude selfish witch. Oh, and I forgot mention that Caleo is PEDO. And Rick even added the part with Odessyus, which is even worse! WHY DOES NO ONE CALL HIM OUT ON THIS STUFF?!

Um, no. Just no. This book is terrible because it ROMANTICIZES abuse! Annabeth Judo flips Percy and blames him for getting kidnapped. She did this before kissing him and telling him that she missed him. Like what the heck, Rick?! People say it's so romantic but it's not at all. Swap the roles and everyone will hate Rick.

Really boring and unoriginal At first I loved it, but then I had to force myself to finish it. Percy is way too powerful and the story is a drag. Annabeth is really mean and annoying and I don't get why other campers look up to her. Don't read if you want to keep your braincells

Quite boring honestly. I read this book before and treid to reread it but I couldn't. I kept getting mad at Rick for all the stereotypes and especially what Piper told Drew near the end. I mean like, you don't threaten to kill your half sister if she looks at a boy you have a crush on! I hated how Piper is another one of Rick's so called 'tomboys'. I really hate how all Asian characters are mean and antagonsts made only to make the protagonists look like angels. I'm only giving an extra star because Leo is in the book.

Yet another disappointment. Apollo is always whiny and Meg makes him the butt of jokes, which is a lot less amazing than what I expected from this series. I know Meg is supposed to be that tough, "not like the other girls" type of girl. I've seen that a lot in Rick's books and I don't like it. And naturally, Meg has to have some sort of rare and magical power, doesn't she? (You find that out in the first book but whatever) Also in this book, is Caleo. Yes. THAT Caleo. The one with the 5000 year old p*dophile and the poor 16 year old boy who's stuck in a relationship with her. Caleo is so toxic and it tries to justifie p*dos. "It's because he loves her!" Uh, because she's supposedly incredibly gorgeous and pretty much irresistible. It's awful really. Calypso slaps Leo in the face, throws bacon at him, says she hates him, and calls him short and scruff. This isn't behavior that you want your kid to think is okay, because its not. Calypso is really mean and isn't a good role model for anyone. I hope this helped
