Miss Mozzarella

If I’m being perfectly honest, this is my most favorite movie of all time. I remember being really young when this movie came out to theaters summer of 2015. I’ll split my review into parts. Plot, characters, animation, music, and overall. 1. The plot is decently cool, I like how it shows how the minions became what they are in despicable me. I love that they go to some kind of comic-con for villains and they meet the main villain Scarlett Overkill. I don’t wanna spoil too much, but the London scene is BEAUTIFUL. Overall plot wise, if you don’t like plots that drag, don’t watch this movie. To me it doesn’t really drag that much, but from many, they think so. 2. Our main minions Kevin, Bob, and Stuart. Kevin is like an older brother to the 2, being responsible, and the main man who started this movie! He was the one to step up to his perishing tribe. He’s responsible, reasonable, brave, and smart. He looks like a Twinkie lol. Bob is known as the baby of the group. He carries around a little teddy bear named Tim. He’s innocent, cute, and sweet. At the end of the movie, he gives our main villain “Scarlet” a mini crown, you’ll see why if you watch the movie. He is our king bob!! Stuart, Stuart, Stuart..where do we begin with this guy. He is like the teenage middle child of the group and it really shows. He is into playing the guitar a ton and it is reflected through the movie. Stuart is laid back, sorta rude, and moody. Stuart is rude cuz he seems to just not care, but he’s my favorite because he’s pretty relatable in a way haha. Stuart’s Van Halen guitar solo is phenomenal. Scarlet is the perfect feminist villain, showing girls/woman can do what men can do. She’s beautiful too, she’s also shown to be pretty childish when she (SPOILERS) she’s elected queen. Her husband, Herb Overkill is the best character besides Stuart, he’s laid back and such a mood. 3. Im a sucker for animation, mostly 2d. But this movie made me appreciate ILLUMINATION way more. The texture on the minion’s overalls, leather texture, hair, buildings, weapons, EVERYTHING. The smoothness of the minions and humans contrast with the realistic texture of the setting. Specifically the scene with the queen when they try to (SPOILER) steal the crown, is beautiful with its water, buildings everything..it looks straight out of London of 1968.Overall it’s super smooth and amazing to watch. Huge improvement from the first despicable me. 4. Where do I even begin with music. The Kinks, the turtles, the who, Van Halen, The Rolling Stones ECT!? Amazing! This movie actually made me like the Kinks cuz of the song “you really got me” in the chase scene. great choice of 60s music. After all, this movie takes place in 1968! Happy together is basically known cuz of the minions so “The Turtles” THANK THE MINIONS!! Jk. How am I supposed to tell my friends that Minions influenced my music taste. 5. Love all the cameos! Beatles, Monkees, Nixon, certain fashion ETC. overall this movie is super super good, it’s my childhood, and my favorite movie of ALL TIME. GIVE THIS MOVIE A WATCH!!! Btw, one talented man named Pierre coffin voiced all 899 minions!
