I am perplexed by the capitlization of Titanic in the description of the heath at the beginning of the book. Is it an editor's error or deliberate. I would think that Hardy would not make a mistake in capitalization. It is not the moon Titan and it is 50 or so years before the Titanic was built, sailed and sank. Thus is he saying the heath looks like a Titan? If he is saying it is large than it should be titanic without a capital.
