The writing in the books was pretty subpar, and the story quite slow actually for over half the story, but the last 50 pages, OH MY GOD, I was truly blown away, the book was not scary at all, I’ll say that, but my heart was racing by the end. Everything was portrayed perfectly at the end through intense emotion, revenge, conclusion, it was incredible. If Scott had a better co-writer this easily could have gone on my favorite book list. Had I read this when I was 11, I think I might have died. Great read, I read the entire almost 400 pages in a matter of 2 days, appropriate for anyone over 10 years old, can be gory and one bad word, as well as some topics and jokes that might go over a little kids head. I give the book a 9/10, it’s only flaw is the writing, too simple. The book is definitely worth reading though, I was captivated and almost immediately after I finished it started reading the second.
