I loved almost every minute except for the Topsy Turvey scene, which wasn’t fun. Emily Blunt was wonderful and made it her own. The scenes with Michael in his grief made me feel sad and weepy. Lin Manuel Miranda was terrific ,he was so much fun, much better actor than Van Dyke, who never quite understood his role in the original film. The songs were very memorable and I came out of the cinema singing ! I got the dvd for Christmas and nearly worn it out already.

As a huge fan of Hayley’s from 10 years old, I’m 73 now, I loved the book immensely and she signed it for me in person. I would highly recommend especially to my age group who grew up with Hayley. She must be gathering a whole new following now through our children and grandchildren She’s the kindest ,gracious and most beautiful person inside and outside, incredibly patient with her fans and willing to give lots of her time to them. Why she isn’t a Dame is unbelievable. Her charitable causes are unending, she’s worked so hard for them. Get the book ,you won’t be disappointed.
