Watching “ The Old Oak “ felt like taking a trip into the lives of everyday people and it was a touching and thoughtful experience In this movie Loach continues to show his talent for telling stories about regular folks facing challenges The story you happens around the pub named The Old Oak and follows different people dealing with the own problems The movie does a great job making us care about these characters almost like they’re our friends going through good and tough times. One thing the movie does well it’s talking about things happening in the world today It looks at issues like money differences, neighbourhood changing and communities breaking apart. It talk about Syrian refugees coming into a little English village and facing the racism of some habitants but also the compassion and love of others It illustrates how they’re going to change the minds of people about syrians and racism
