I couldn’t put this book down and I don’t normally read romances, but this book had an additional element that I love, but would be a massive spoiler to describe here. I got into it because the first few pages are available as a downloadable sample. I made the same mistake the characters made as the story progressed. What’s so ‘red flag’ about that? I wondered at various stages but, like the book characters, let it pass (not that thinking about it would have helped much), so the moment of crisis took me completely by surprise. I was then fully invested in the solution; disapproving on some points and rooting for them in just about everything else. Brilliantly written too. Sex is mentioned but not described, so ‘safe’ for young teens, so long as they are ok with the F word being liberally used in speech.
