I dont even know where to start with this show, I don't think this show even understands itself really. I'll begin by saying that it is a unique story for the genre that is captivating enough to watch despite sooooooo many issues with its plot and logic. Season 1 was pretty interesting, and if you dont mind the inconsistency of how zombies behave, or the irrational decisions made by our underdeveloped characters at a moments notice, then you'll thoroughly enjoy this season, and likely season 2 as well. Honestly my biggest complaint is the tremendous plot holes and pointless choices made by our characters, season 2 is jam packed with these occurrences. For ex. We get episodes containing characters that seem like they'll be used later in the story, often devoting most of the episode to said characters, then they just never show up again and it's never addressed why, like okay?? Even the characters they were with seem to have just forgotten about these loose ends in the show. Bravo, evidently they CAN act! And then there's people who decide to change their motives like flipping a coin, needlessly and pointlessly doing certain things that in no way apply to their supposed goal, makes for really poor attention to detail and storytelling in my opinion. Finally dont even get me started on the last episode of season 2, nearly had me turn off the show before I could finish it, SO MANY THINGS MAKE NO SENSE. Like when that woman that was with "The Leader" simply decided to push the annoying Korean woman for no reason whilst they were trying to make it to the getaway plane, an event that subsequently killed her when they both could've made it to the plane easily and survived?? The pilot then suddenly decides that the mission he's been carrying out to airdrop supplies to the unfortunate masses is worth abandoning on a dime , because why? You guessed it, for literally no reason, he seems to be fully aware that his safe haven air strip has just been devastated by survivors despite not having seen it himself yet, and additionally is just willing to wait for these individuals to hop in his plane with no regard for what kind of person he may be harboring, when quite literally everyone else in the show has not a single ounce of trust or remorse stored withinthem. So, so nonsensical. I love the zombie genre but for those who pay keen attention to these shows, you will be disappointed by the end result, however I will reiterate that the action scenes of the show, though few, are entertaining. I dont understand how this is recieving 5 stars from anyone with a brain capacity surpassing that of a chimpanzee, but nonetheless, I'm sure it'll receive a season 3 riding off of the uniqueness alone. Sigh.
