A lot of the complaints are the lack of a clear side taken, morally ambiguous main characters, and a lack of clarity with a lot of what is going on. To me I felt it clearly was expressing a message that it got across very well. A civil war would be chaotic, confusing, and would have events that you couldn't possibly imagine happing outside of complete anarchy. Morality is blurred in war to begin with, a domestic war that occurred because division finally boiled over to that point would be full of atrocities. Look at the rhetoric within social media political echo chambers, it is full of violent hate and vitriol. I found it a great watch with a clear and stark warning, civil war is not an answer to the division in the country.
