Best anime film adaptation, in fact it has taken o. A world of its own separate from the original source material. The acting and direction has been superb and the depiction of the 1800's Japan has me invested in the era.. making me feel apart of the era. This film and all others in this series breathes and lives on its own. An underrated masterpiece
