Very good movie.
The main character is a true depiction of what Narcissistic Personality Disorder looks like. The need for control. A false sense of self. Lying and playing on other people's vulnerabilities to maintain the false sense of self. And the discard of the 'supply' once the mask is finally stripped off and no longer useful.
This movie cannot truly be enjoyed and/or appreciated without keeping the effects of past trauma in mind. Every prominent character's fate in this movie depicts just how serious and detrimental ONE person's mental health can create havoc and ultimately ruin everyone around them.
I've read other reviews on this movie, that speak of there being too many "loop holes". But if viewed closely, all of the cues to fill in the gaps were meticulously placed into every scene. And the seemingly abrupt ending pulls it all together. She cared about herself and no one else...not even her own children were exempt from the wrath of a narcissist on the loose.
I commend the writers, producers and actors for attacking many different trauma based issues in such an artful way. Well done.
