I can't believe Marisa Abela didn't sing before this film. Brilliant, I loved it. Great jazz music, wonderful portrayal of the characters and such a terribly tragic life...GO AND SEE IT!

10/10 for me. Poignant, tragic, uplifting, raw....this movie takes you on a roller-coaster ride of emotions. Stunning setting, brilliantly written, this is a long movie, so be prepared, but to do it justice, it had to take you through every stage. A beautiful study of life long friends, warts and all.

Thought it would be corny....its bloody hilarious...so politically incorrect...perfect!!

If you loved the musical, go and see this film adaptation. Those who have knocked this movie, 1. Do not understand the concept 2. Have no romance in their souls I have seen the theatre production 4 times, I love the music, the fantasy, the characters, the insight into the feline personalities. This is a romantic and cultural piece of art...not for those without any imagination or ability to appreciate fantasy. The only downside for me was Rebel Wilson, Jennianidots was badly cast. I didn't think there needed to be a token comedic element. Please go and judge for yourself... and take your sense of adventure and imagination with you!
