The Olympic hymn gets me teary every time I hear it. It was especially beautiful in Beijing with children. NBC did NOT talk over it as they often do. The moderator Mike Timiko was excellent, and great interviewer, Shaun White especially. My favorite was the opening and closing ceremonies where they covered the floor with dancing, 900 of them , so gorgeous. The jiggling entrance dancers never stopped their enthusiasm. Not so the Italian dancers who were lovely but too small for that size arena The athletes themselves were intertwined with emotion and skill, not only for their team, but others in the competition from other countries. I wish the world were this.
