Took me a while to recover from the ripple effects of this Masterpiece. I'm not much of an avid reader of Mythological or historical fiction but
this book left me spell-bound. Hat's off to our dear author. Been a lover of Krishna since childhood, but while the years of my teenhood startwd settling in i think i had been quite ignorant towards our friendship (i like to call it that. Judge me if you want.) I feel this book brought me closer to that innocent love and trust which i couldn't quite understand in the beginning but now i know, it's that one string which will forever bind me to being loved while every other one is snapped. Thank you. When near the ending of the book Panchaali asks "am i dying?" Krishna replied "you could call it that"...."you could also call it waking," i felt it. Every moment lived is a moment lost, and as i died through all those million moments when i lived while living Panchaali's life seeing the world through her perspective, I feel a little more awake and a little more at peace. A little more closer to myself.
