An absolute triumph to American history and human survival! I was impressed with Kevin Costner's interpretation of the pace and mentality of the white settlers in the wagon caravans moving West, as well as the Native Americans lifestyle and how they governed themselves. From things like weapons, saddles, uniforms, logistics, language, and music, this movie absolutely cuts no corners. The first of four episodes is filled with brutality and graphics of endless conflicts and people's understanding of right and wrong. Kevin Costner is undoubtedly a genius and master of Western cinema. 10 out of 10 for me and I highly recommend it!
