Read the book and watched the movie. I thought they were both very good no matter what the critics say.
In a book, if it does not catch you in the first couple of pages it's not worth it, in the movie if it doesn't catch you in the first 15 to 30 minutes then get up and leave or change the channel.

Watched this film with my daughter and it was just ok. Nothing fantastic, just ok. Most movies when you watch them you tend to keep some portion of it in your memory, sorry not this time. This is just what they used to call a filler show.
