20% on rotten tomatoes? Just goes to show you can’t always trust it because Monkeybone is an AWESOME freakin’ movie. Watched it over and over in my teens, so inventive so sooo unique. Absolutely love this movie always will!

What a tease. Seems like it could be so good at first. Turns to absolute trash! No real character development, just turns into running around the house oooo you shoot at me I spray you with body spray in the eyes ooooo. What an utter disappointment.

Unique, really cool lighting/angles/editing. Psychological thriller with a little horror. It’s worth a watch for sure and I really appreciate its uniqueness but ultimately it felt really unfinished and not tied together right. Left just feeling meh.

Freakin’ awesome. Witty and smart and great acting and all the good things.

What a freakin’ masterpiece. Kept it exciting the entire time. And superb acting. How this isn’t in the 90 percentile on Rotten Tomatoes beats me. Wow I loved that movie.

A beautiful film 🖤 Anyone interested in time travel will enjoy this film.

Nothing short of a masterpiece.

So I watched this movie a couple times about 5 years ago but just watched it again tonight for a ‘background movie’ if you will while crafting. I always thought this was a good movie (who knows maybe I have just finally realized that UM YEAH, a family sacrificed for LITERALLY ALL OF HUMANITY is a necessary evil) but just now watching the soldiers (**SPOILER ALERT**) all turn the guns towards the guy who has actually put in all the work to create a truly viable option for ALL of humanity to evolve and survive and they make him out to be the bad guy… that is so laughable to me. And his wife runs away after injecting him with saline instead of the serum only to have him murder MANY people. Oh but I guess their lives don’t matter compared to this lady and her husband who VOWED to help humanity by literally changing his DNA but… who cares if a bunch of people get murdered by him it’s whatever and still ends with THEIR family happy and okay (like at least alive). This love is selfish. Love beyond only your partner. This whole ending is just so extremely skewed and off. For example: “your family is a miracle Dr. Jensen” is what a red haired dude tells her at the end as if she is a hero. She literally caused so much destruction and suffering and does not give a shiiiiiiiit. Anyway, never realized how stupid this move is until now. All I have to say is wow. And not in a good way.

Absolutely wonderful masterpiece. I’m a huge stickler for rotten tomatoes ratings but this is one of many examples I’ve found lately that rotten tomatoes most certainly highly underrates incredible shows and movies. I was balling at the end of the series. Fantastic actors acting superbly and such a unique and fascinating plot. AMAZING!!! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Just gory. That’s pretty much it. Great cinematography though, a lot of actors that have potential but have absolutely zero character development. Tries to be deep but ultimately makes no sense. I’d really love for someone to explain how this could be considered a ‘masterpiece’. *SPOILERS* He’s meant to represent black people who have been cruelly and unjustly murdered (which of course has happened and is still happening and I completely see and agree with that) and yet…. Goes around cruelly murdering mostly innocent people (such as children)? Yeah, makes a lot of sense, totallyyyyy. P.S. I love Jordan Peele and his other films and shows, and I’m sure he will make more great movies but I was genuinely bummed that he was the co-writer of this movie.
