Probably the best movie of 2022 (I’m holding out for the new Fantastic Beasts movie) It was so so refreshing to not go through all of the background and jump right into the plot. It was utterly deranged, and I loved that Batman couldn’t save everyone in the end. It felt borderline psychological thriller which was so much more engaging and brought depth to the Riddlers storyline. I’ve heard so many complaints about the Riddlers outfit, but the way he was written and portrayed perfectly reflected reality. The fact that Riddler was based in the image of real life domestic terrorist/online forum weirdo types just brought the movie to a new level. No you shouldn’t take your children to see this movie, but that’s why it’s not PG. We didn’t need another watered down Batman. Robert Pattinson was the perfect choice for this role. He couldn’t have had more than 15 lines in 2 Hours and 56 minutes, and it was just perfect. No run on monologues about good guys and bad guys, no recycled bits of wisdom from old movies, and best of all no absurd and hour long action sequences. It was just so amazing. Go watch it, it’s worth your time!!!
