These games aren’t viewed the highest within the community however I really enjoyed them. I liked the alola region a lot, It is one of the first regions where I like all 3 starters and has a great selection of new and old Pokémon. I think lusamine creates a good villain and team skull was one of the last good evil teams. I even prefer them to ultra sun and moon as I think lusamine’s character works better. These games at the time of writing are relatively cheep so I suggest picking up a copy and seeing how you find it.

I picked up this game with Heartgold and played through them both as I have never played 2 of the best rated games in the series. This game upgrades the sinnoh region created in diamond and Pearl and improved the game significantly adding way more Pokemon before the post game. I think I prefer Heartgold as I can visit both kanto and Johto but this is a close second! I loved the challenge of champion Cynthia and I love the feel that these games create unlike modern day games to which I still enjoy!

As someone who never played the originals or the remakes when they came out, I wanted to try Heartgold/soulsilver and I was not dissapointed. Johto is a great region and a lot of the designs are good espically coupled with both kanto Pokemon and the kanto region! The only problem is the level scaling. Levelling up my team can be tedious but besides that I have no problems and I highly suggest picking up a copy if you want to play/replay the game.
