This movie had its moments. I found myself laughing reluctantly a handful of times.
It’s one of those movies that you watch when you’re high or really bored. If not, you’ll feel like your time was wasted. I doubt anyone would watch this twice.
The humor was very unenthusiastic at times. You had certain characters like Andrew Schulz and Gerald Johnson who created some good YT short worthy moments but over all the movie was a bit comedically dry.
Jack Harlow is not a half bad rapper. If you’ve seen him in interviews or on episodes of Dave you’d assume he has the potential to be very funny. So what happened? Jack Harlow isn’t really funny. He has charismatic moments of humorous remarks or witty comments but it doesn’t elevate to the level of comedy I crave.
Jack Harlow is as funny to me as Jackie Chan if there was no Chris Tucker. His Seth Rogan needs a James Franco. It’s like he has the comedic value of Vince Vaughn but slower and bland with a modern kids relaxed spin on it.
Sinqua Walls, Typical black lead characters with no unique value at all. I can’t remember a single line of his after the movie finished. He could have been played by anyone. They should have went with Micheal B Jordan.
Teyana Taylor practically played herself in the movie. Probably the most genuine character throughout.
End result, this is the last time I’ll probably type or mention this movie in life. Watched without regret but will inevitably be forgotten and not missed.
