A really good show, they did a great job casting it, great set design and great music. The problem falls within the writing or should I say lack there of. We had an opportunity to create something amazing and it comes out as rushed with so many amazing factors it is leaving any Avatar fan asking for more out of the first book. I understand the decision to limit the season to 8 slightly longer episodes. However good you may make the elements it does not share the same passion. And with the original creators I expected a replicated extension of their energy and passion. As a fan of the original show I feel like the characters should be similar to the energy there characters brought in the original show. And this show fails to capture those elements. Which is surprising because as good as this show gets and The fact that it is live action means the actors who capture these characters are to bring emotion to them and bring them to life. They didn’t do an exceptional job of that. If you’re going to recreate one of the greatest anime ever made you are going to do it. There is no excuses for lackluster. It is a good show, feels really theatric and the scenes were mesmerizing. They did a great job with that as I said in the introduction to my review. I hope they do a better job with the second book.
