I did not find this play engaging - left after the first act, bored to tears. Lots of info, delivered in torrents. Childish/ cartoonish attitudes abound. Gay love scene - a tasteless charicature. I am giving it two stars for some dramatic convention merits.

An extraordinary concentration of thoughts and feelings regarding love and marriage, as both a fragile and an unbreakable connection. An exploration of the human needs and aspirations as well as fear and resent. The depths of the exchanges proposed by this film can not be taken in all at once. Their many layers unfold gradually, unexpectedly, threatening to haunt you for a long time.

I loved her first book, not crazy about her second. This one seems overcrowded yet empty at times, many fillers and the occasional gem of a thought, or feeling or depth or truth. She's a witty thinker, social commentator and influencer, but this time I felt that much of what she said was for show. Not the personal journey I encountered in her debut novel.
