I watched a few episodes and I have to say I am beyond disappointed. For starters, the pranks are boring, repetitive, and overall uninteresting to watch, with no creative twist. The people being “pranked” somehow believe the things that are happening, which only points to it being staged. I get that it’s the point of the show to make people believe the unbelievable, but nobody in their right mind would believe a pool store owner when he pulls a baby hippo out of a customers chlorine dispenser as if it was there when the customer entered. The show just feels like impractical jokers but sad and lonely, with one guy doing pranks with nobody to laugh with. The pranks are just genuinely unfunny and uncreative, and feels like something your grandma would have on the tv when not paying attention to it. The show is very likely staged, or at the very least cherry-picked to only show the reactions of morons who believe what they’re seeing. This show had so much potential with the host being a magician, but it was wasted due to a lack of creativity, as well as the pranks being 90% gaslighting and 10% actual tricks. This show is only watchable if you’re high in bed at 1 AM about to fall asleep, unable to tell what’s happening but almost feels like a good prank show. Even then in that scenario impractical jokers would be such a better vibe. Might have to get high and watch impractical jokers to make up for this disappointment of a show. Ross creations on YouTube and impractical jokers did what this show was trying to do, but this show lacked any form of creativity and soul.
