Overall I liked this film but didn't love it. Gotham city is portrayed amazingly well and the visuals of the film are beautifully bleak. The supporting cast were all pretty good, the detective/mystery plot was cool and the sound track was very fitting.
However in general I was a little disappointed with Pattison's Bruce Wayne, he seems like a grumpy teenager. Although I thought his Batman was decent, I felt he overdid the sombreness, and every movement he made felt so slow. In fact, the whole film is a bit slow and would have benefitted from being maybe 30-40 mins faster. I really like "Something in the Way" by Nirvana but I didn't like how they overlayed the song during scenes with dialogue, making it a little harder to concentrate.
It's not possible for me to not compare this with other Batman films; for me it just didn't make the same impact that The Dark Knight or (my personal favourite) Joker did. I would still recommend people go see it as it is beautiful, but don't go in with huge expectations.
