I understand everyone with the 1 star and 2 stars frustration. Its starts out very interesting with the oil tanker crashing into the shore & deers creeping on people that gives you a sense of a monster action plot incoming. The problem is that the plot doesn’t really develop a solid body. Its just a lot of story’s, dialogues & monologues to carry to the climax at the end.
But theres a reason i gave this 4 stars instead of one. This movie delivers a very interesting message which I believe is what its portraying. Its shows how weak & exposed we are as a society & how far divided we can be as a nation if the right buttons are pushed. The way we conflict with each other, our distrust for our neighbors & dependency on technology. All of which can be used as a chess move against us & eat up a country from within. In the end, we all need each other, no matter what our political, religious beliefs, or what race we are. Its a lot of critical thinking but I believe this movie captured it beautifully. Perhaps I would’ve gave it it five stars if more evidence was given instead of all the inevitable “Doomsday” connotations.
